Meet Our Founder — The Story Behind E-Hills Foundation
E-Hills Foundation was born from a deeply personal conviction.
Founder Ernestina Ayampogbila Akagene grew up witnessing bright, capable girls lose their confidence due to societal limitations that confined them to traditional roles. She also observed talented individuals with disabilities being overlooked and underestimated — despite their potential.
These experiences lit a fire in her heart that would not go out.
“I knew I had to do something,” Ernestina recalls. “Not because it was easy, but because it was necessary. Every girl deserves a voice. Every person with a disability deserves to feel seen, valued, and included.”
As a businesswoman, Ernestina brings practical leadership and a strong sense of responsibility to her work. Her faith, nurtured through her fellowship at Fountain Gate Chapel, continues to guide her commitment to service, compassion, and impact.
Through E-Hills Foundation, she has supported and mentored numerous young girls — particularly students transitioning from Junior High School to Senior High School — helping them build confidence, pursue education, and recognize their worth.
Today, E-Hills Foundation runs five active programs across multiple communities in Ghana, reaching hundreds of girls and persons with disabilities every year.
The journey continues. And your kindness is making it possible.
Your kindness is someone’s hope.
